Things To Do

Within an hour's drive including the obvious Stonehenge (5 mina), Salisbury (20 mins) and Bath (60mins) but also Stourhead Gardens, Wilton House, Longleat, Lacock and many more,  Much of Wolf Hall was filmed in the area.   

Glastonbury Tour and Abbey are to the west, with the caves of Cheddar Gorge a possibility.   Towns of Marlborough, near to Avebury and Winchester are Eastward,   Even Windsor Castle is only about an hour.  

Stonehenge special inner circle access is available ........  Whilst expensive, early morning visits before they open to the public or evenings after they close and you can wonder everywhere !   

Stonehenge can also be viewed for free from the byways,alpngside the Stones - of course you would miss the Exhibition

And if you come for the Solstice or Equinoxes, you can come back and crash out afterwards.

When you return after your day out, the Bell Pub in the village serves good food and the Boot Inn in the neighbouring village of Berwick St James is only a mile.  

We have a Games Room with 3/4 size billiard/snooker table and a sitting room for guests.
