Salisbury Cathedral, Grand Historic Houses and Gardens.....Bath
Salisbury, Salisbury Cathedral, Early English Gothic with its heaven bound spire. The foundation stone was laid in 1220 and it was built within 38 years and as written by Bill Bryson, "there is no doubt in my mind that Salisbury Cathedral is the single most beautiful structure in England and the Close around it the most beautiful space". An original Magna Carta (1215) is housed in the Chapter House.
Also Winchester Cathedral and Wells. Roman and Georgian Bath. Grand stately homes and historic houses including Longleat, Wilton and Stourhouse Gardens. So much to see, so little time. You will need to come back.
